“ Great staff!! Good food with a couple of side notes. We both got the Retro breakfast. The wife got the biscuit with jam. I got the biscuit and sausage gravy. We also ordered some fried green tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes were nothing short of amazing!! The breakfast was tasty, although there is nothing on the menu to tell you that the eggs are heavily peppered with black pepper. I had eggs over medium, she had scrambled eggs. Both were covered in pepper, and I like pepper, but this was heavy handed. The smashbrowns were quite strong in the oven department. Could only eat one, and the onion flavor stayed with us for the next several hours of the road trip! If the batter on the chicken was the batter that was on the fried green tomatoes… that would be amazing! All in all, the food was good, so worth a stop. ”
“ This place was bustling! Though it was hot, we sat outside since there were no tables inside and it was quite loud. The service was relatively fast despite how busy they were. We ordered numerous dishes: biscuits and gravy, little grace, the squawking goat, and the retro plate. The biscuits and gravy were good; it had a little kick to it, but needed some more salt. The biscuit was perfect though. The little grace was good and perfect size for a kid that wasn’t too hungry. The waffle was crispy and the syrup had a good consistency and flavor. The retro plate was fine; it’s a pretty basic dish with another big ol’ biscuit that was good. The squawking goat was interesting with the goat cheese. The pepper jelly was thinner than expected so it looked more like a sauce than jam. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. Overall, this is a place to try and they offer numerous options that could please anyone. Be mindful of the time that you visit however as tables can fill up fast. ”
“ AMAZING!!! Hidden gem for sure. I cannot tell you the amount of times we drove by this place before stopping in today. From the friendly staff, great ambiance and absolutely amazing food you have got to stop in and try anything!!! We got the 5 and Dime tacos, sausage taco, bacon taco, classic mimosa and sunrise mimosa. Cant wait to come back and try more!!! Oh and their salsa is so smoky and good as well. ”
“ I came from Phoenix and happened to drive by...let me just say that the food was fantastic but the energy from the employees made me hate that I couldn't bottle them up and take THEM to go. Phenomenal experience from ordering to leaving. This TEXAS experience owes me nothing. I hope I can catch them again before I leave. ”
“ Quite an enticing concept! However, I was not impressed with the biscuit quality. It was pretty tough and dry and not buttery and flaky. The biscuits and gravy were not very flavorful. However, I really enjoyed the chicken biscuit sandwich with the spicy jam and goat cheese! They did provide complimentary iced biscuits to the table which was very kind, however because the biscuits themselves were not delicate, the entire dish was tough and hard to enjoy. ”
“ The staff and the food were great and very attentive. I was celebrating my birthday with friends and the manager gave us complimentary icing biscuit buns. The freshly squeezed OJ was so delicious The biscuits were tasty and we will definitely return again at the Maple Biscuits in McKinney off 380. ”
“ Be still my heart! What a spectacular place. We are new to the area and googled best breakfast near by. After reading reviews we knew we had to try! It holds up to its 5 star rating and more! Never have I ever tasted biscuits and gravy as delicious as these. I kept sneaking bites off my husband’s plate! The Staff is so warm and welcoming. We connected so well it was a must for a group picture. Thank you Maple Street Biscuits, first for the pride you display in your food and service. Secondly for making us feel like family. Ray and Shayne you stole my heart. See you soon ~ Molly and Manny. ”
“ Great find. I was a little skeptical due to the setup. When you walking it's like a fast food restaurant. You order your food at the counter then seat yourself. That was different. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The customer service was good. One lady came from the back and greeted everyone, asked how the food was and was overall friendly. The food was delicious, flavorful and well portioned. We will definitely be back ”
